Shanghai AkoMedia Launched New Interactive System with Loongson and Onewave at Great Hall of People

Beijing March 28, 2007- (ICT) The Institute of Computing Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences presented Loongson Microprocessor 2E and related products at the Great  Hall of People in Beijing. Akomedia’s DITVS (Digital Interactive TV System), which was successfully integrated and developed with lemote and Onewave to create a Digital Home Media Centre was a highlight of the event.

In Loongson’s powerful interactive TV system, the audience could see how AkoMedia’s DITVS system could enhance the content of the Digital Home Media Centre – DITVS’s dynamic transformation function can transform contents from the internet and bring the automatically reformatted websites to the home television screen as part of the system.?

“The Loongson Home Digital Media Centre has taken a big step forward in the digital home media centre development. It is ready to go into millions of homes in China through the telecom or TV operators.” said Conner Mo, CEO of Shanghai AkoMedia.

During the meeting, ST Microelectronics, a global leader in developing and delivering System-on-Chip company signed an agreement with Loongson Microprocessor as Loongson’s international distributor.

Vice Chairman of the China National People’s Congress, Mr. Gu Xiu Lian attended this meeting.? Many officials from ICT and representatives from global IT companies such as Microsoft, Mips, Lenovo were also present at the event.
