Launching Digital TV Middleware AkoEnv and Applications

On October 1st, the Chinese National Day, AkoMedia launched the latest interactive TV middleware – AkoEnv and its interactive applications, including VOD, voting, interactive education. AkoEnv as the first DITVS
standard middleware for interactive TV.

DITVS is a comprehensive interactive system platform for TV stations and the home viewers.

AkoEnv features the following:

- supports, Linux, WinCE, VxWorks;
- semi-transparent, multi-layer transparent effects : demo;
- supports vector and non-vector images, guarantees image quality;
- supports MPEG-2, MPEG-4, RMVB, VMV8/9, H.264, and VC-1 stream media and subtitle formats;
- supports image within image and OSD effects and animation;
- simple production application, no need for complex programming;
- supports hardware acceleration for quality improvement;
- accepts many remote control standards, self-adjusts automatically;
- supports active and non-active document transmission, supports compression;
- allows adding codes and decoding for enhancement of the security system;
- supports many stream media broadcast services, supports organized broadcast functions;
- supports P2P stream media transmission, relieving the servers’ load;
- supports 2D focus control, simplifying operation of remote control;
